Dews Coaches have announced that they will taking over the St Ives Market Day No 9 Bus service from Monday 16th August 2021 and operate it commercially.
They will be adding an extra journey to the service but will no longer receive a subsidy.

Due to a major lorry fire and chemical spillage on London Road (opposite the Esso garage) yesterday evening the road is currently closed to allow for removal of the vehicle, hazardous spill and re-surfacing. I have received four traffic alerts for the first week of December for Hemingford Grey and surrounding area:
Roadworks: There will be expected carriageway incursions to High Street, Old Pound Close and Weir Road.
Traffic Interruptions: New Road, Hemingford Abbots, diversion.

The new A14 Huntingdon link road is now open and you can view the access route by clicking on the PDF file below. I also had occasion to use the route myself today and have extracted the dash cam footage so you can see what to expect beforehand if you wish. Journey time is approximately 4 minutes from the Abbots to the link turn off.

A 12-mile bypass to the south of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire – part of the UK's biggest road upgrade – will open to traffic on Monday 9 December, Highways England announced recently.
The new bypass will run between Ellington and Swavesey and is part of a £1.5 billion project to upgrade 21 miles of the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon.
