A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.

Flood Alert in force: Lower River Great Ouse in Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Cambridgeshire.

Flooding is possible for: River Great Ouse from Wyboston to Earith, including Hen Brook, Fox Brook, Brampton Brook, Back Brook, Hall Green Brook, Parsons Drove Drain, Swavesey Drain and Wadsbys Folly.

The Parish Council have now had rows of wooden bollards driven into the grass across all three vehicular entrances to Daintree Green to deter unauthorised access. There are locked rising bollards near the path from Daintree Way and the path from Stepping Stones. Hedgehog Alert!

Hedgehogs are very active at this time of the year out foraging for food, particularly at dusk and through the night. Please spare a thought for nocturnal wildlife when driving at night and reduce speed to give animals a chance to get out of the way or to be able to stop safely.
