Flood Update

Flood Update

The Environment Agency were in the village this afternoon checking our flood defences. They have shut the floodgate near the Church and assure us that the pen stock at the bottom of Meadow Lane is shut. They have also checked the pumping station at Filberts Walk which is doing its job. The River is expected to peak again tonight so please take care if you are out and about.

New Bollards for Daintree Green

New Bollards for Daintree Green

The Parish Council have now had rows of wooden bollards driven into the grass across all three vehicular entrances to Daintree Green to deter unauthorised access. There are locked rising bollards near the path from Daintree Way and the path from Stepping Stones. While it is true that determined vandals could cut bollards they would thereby be committing 'criminal damage' which enables the PC to have... Read More »
