Community bulb and wildflower planting
Can you help plant some spring bulbs and wildflowers? Then join us at Daintree Green, Yes Development (play area), Villlage Sign or Cemetery on Sunday 12th March at 11am. All welcome!
Please dress appropriately and if possible bring a trowel, gloves and kneeler - and a drink and biscuits will be provided.

A1307 Spittals to Fenstanton Biodiversity Improvements
Work continues to improve the biodiversity at 12 sites along the A1307 between Spittals Interchange and Fenstanton. The sites are in poor condition and require improvement to help them thrive. Roadworks & Traffic Control The Thorpe
Please be aware that, as part of the ongoing repairs at the Thorpe pumping station, there is currently three way traffic light control at the junction with Manor Road.

Thorpe Pumping Station Update
From Anglian Water:
"Regarding our works at the Thorpe Pumping station, I am pleased to say that our teams have been onsite today repairing sections of the sewer which feeds into the station. We will continue to monitor the sewer going forward and make any more necessary repairs, but as it stands the sections currently being repaired are the only deteriorated areas".

Yes Development London Road Hedge
Hemingford Grey Parish council are pleased to announce the planting of a native hedge along the London Road boundary of the Yes Development as part of the ongoing Improving Green Spaces programme.
This was made possible with a grant of £3,500 from Cambscuisine/The Cock, Hemingford Grey, administered by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, with the Parish Council funding the remainder.

Thorpe pumping station and water pressure update
This is the latest information we have received from Anglian Water regarding The Thorpe pumping station and water pressure in the area:

The Thorpe Pumping Station Rising Main Burst
There is currently a serious mains burst within the pumping station at the entrance to the Thorpe which is causing considerable disruption and spillage on the road and also involves a stream of heavy tankers using the village roads.
