Can you spare a couple of hours for our Community Tree Planting and Litter Pick? Join us at Daintree Green or Yes Estate, Saturday 23rd November 2019, 10.00 am - 12 Noon.

Hi-vis vests, gloves litter pickers and black bags supplied. Following Tree Planting and Litter Pick, volunteers are welcome at the Garden Room Cafe, High Street, for a well earned tea or coffee, courtesy of the Parish Council.

The Parish Council have now had rows of wooden bollards driven into the grass across all three vehicular entrances to Daintree Green to deter unauthorised access. There are locked rising bollards near the path from Daintree Way and the path from Stepping Stones. A14 bypass opening date revealed

A14 bypass opening date revealed

A 12-mile bypass to the south of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire – part of the UK's biggest road upgrade – will open to traffic on Monday 9 December, Highways England announced recently.

The new bypass will run between Ellington and Swavesey and is part of a £1.5 billion project to upgrade 21 miles of the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon.

New Parish Speed Sign

The speed indicator sign outside Geaves Farm on Hemingford Road was put up over a week ago. It flashes a warning if a driver exceeds the 30mph speed limit and should also count the number of cars passing and the speed at which they are travelling. After seven days (of half term) it appears to show a number of vehicles travelling at over 50 mph and a lot more exceeding 40 mph. We are awaiting more advice... Read More »
