Cambridgeshire Home Energy Support Service Plus
Email to Richard Allen, Chair HGPC.
You may be aware that Cambridgeshire ACRE, in partnership with PECT, ran a project called Cambridgeshire Home Energy Support Service (CHESS) which came to an end in 2022. We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded further funding by the Energy Saving Trust to continue this work through a new two-year project that we're calling 'CHESS Plus'.
Our aim remains the same, to help people on low incomes, who are struggling with their energy costs. CHESS Plus will provide advice and support on reducing energy bills and maintaining a warm home. We are also able to provide financial debt relief to those who need it most. This time, we are working across the districts of East Cambridgeshire, Fenland, Huntingdonshire and Cambridge City. You can request help for yourself or for someone else by clicking the button below to visit the website or by calling 0800 8021773 or emailing energyadvice@pect.org.uk
As well as to make you aware of this new project, we are emailing to ask if you know of any events taking place in your community where our colleagues from PECT could come along to provide free energy advice and support to individuals and families. If your community has a fete, fair, coffee morning or any other kind of event planned that brings people together, please let us know as we'd love to come along. If you can think of anything suitable, please get in touch by email so we can discuss further.
