Cambridgeshire Home Energy Support Service (CHESS)
Cambridgeshire ACRE, in partnership with PECT are running a project called Cambridgeshire Home Energy Support Service (CHESS). Our aim is to help people on low incomes, who are struggling with their energy costs. This project provides advice and support on reducing energy bills and maintaining a warm home, we are also able to provide debt relief to those who need it most.
We are working across the districts of East Cambridgeshire, Fenland and Huntingdonshire.
Over the coming months we want to help as many people as possible - so let's get Winter ready!
- We know people are experiencing higher bills due to the stay at home/lockdown energy use, we can help with debt relief and advice on using less energy.
- We can help people get their oil tank filled before the cold weather arrives.
- Does your boiler need some attention? If boilers are broken, get them mended/serviced/replaced before the winter arrives.
- No central heating system? We can help people access grants to get new heating systems fitted.
