Janice and Anne would like to thank you all for all your help in making the Community Bird Box such a success.

All 26 Bird Boxes were sponsored and with other donations we raised £150. Indeed we sold out.

We would like to thank the following:

The local Scouts and Cubs for making and decorating the Bird Boxes

The Hemingford Grey Gardeners' Society for providing the refreshments at the Reading Room

The Huntingdon RSPB group for providing expert advice and the information stall

The 3 teams who put up all the boxes.

All those who sponsored a bird box or gave us a donation.

The Parish Council at its meeting on Monday 13th January decided to donate the monies raised to the 3 local organisations who helped us achieve the project; The Scouts and Cubs, the Hemingford Grey Gardeners' Society (for the primary school's gardening project) and the Huntingdon Group of the RSPB.

So as you walk, cycle and drive around the village please look out for the Bird Boxes in Daintree Green, by the village sign, Cemetery, Mitchell Close, Vicarage Fields and De Vere Close.

If you have any ideas for a community project next year, preferably in relation to the environment, please let us know as the Parish Council budget for next year includes some money for small community projects.
