One of the reasons that we still have problems with vehicles of all sizes using Braggs Lane and the High Street is because Google Maps (and probably other Sat Navs) still show this as the 'through route' (shown on Google Map example here). Carol singing around the Christmas Tree will be held this year on Saturday the 8th December between 5.30 - 6.30pm, with mince pies and mulled wine on offer from 5.00pm, and a raffle. The event will begin with a reading by the Rev. Peter Cunliffe.
The carol singing at Vicarage Field is organised by the Regatta.

Because of the temporary closure of the A14 over the weekend it will inevitably mean increased volumes of traffic through the village. Some of you may have already noticed, as did I this morning, the constant flow of vehicles along all the roads, most in a hurry to pass through. Please exercise extra caution during the period of closure and make sure you are distinctly visible at night.

Closure of A14 required to demolish Swavesey bridge
The existing, 40 metre bridge over the A14 at Swavesey will be demolished in November as part of the junction upgrade.
The bridge, which links Swavesey to Boxworth at junction 28, is expected to close to traffic in early November. The new junction bridge will open to traffic at the same time.
