Flood Risk Update
Councillor Waters has spoken to John Hesp, a village resident and retired EA engineer who helped design our flood defences and helps us with drainage and flood issues. He is not advising anyone to move their furniture upstairs and can be quoted on that.

New Covid-19 Restrictions From Boxing Day
From 00:01 on Boxing Day (26 Dec), Huntingdonshire will be in Tier 4. That means:
No household mixing indoors
Only up to two people can meet outdoors in a public space
Non-essential retail, gyms, leisure centres and personal care outlets must close

Heavy Rain and Flooding in Cambridgeshire
Several Flood Warnings and Flood Alerts are in place across the region following heavy rain overnight. The Environment Agency are expecting water levels to continue rising on The Great Ouse and there is currently a Flood Warning for the Brampton area. Surface water, some of it deep, is also causing problems for motorists so please take care on the roads. New Budgens store now open
The new Budgens store in Hemingford Grey officially opened it's doors last Saturday. The store will be open from 7am - 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 8am - 8pm on Sundays. The Post Office opening times are 7.30am - 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am - 7pm Saturday and 8.30am - 4pm on Sunday.

Repairs to Marsh Lane
Dear Hemingford Grey Parish,
I have been made aware that a Heavy Goods vehicle has damaged a verge in Marsh Lane Hemingford Grey and have undertaken a site visit.
I will be requiring a road closure for the works to be undertaken so this will not be done immediately as we require authority and permit from the Street works team Then plan the work in a 12 week window as from today.
