I have received four traffic alerts for the first week of December for Hemingford Grey and surrounding area:

Roadworks: There will be expected carriageway incursions to High Street, Old Pound Close and Weir Road.

Traffic Interruptions: New Road, Hemingford Abbots, diversion.

Doorstep Carols

Doorstep Carols

Dear All

Some of you may have heard of Doorstep Carols. We are being encouraged to join in singing carols on Weds 16th December at 6pm. BBC Radio Cambridge will be broadcasting the carols.

We usually gather in Vicarage Fields to sing carols around the tree there but not so this year.

A14 Pathfinder Link Road Huntingdon October 2020 Map & Video

The new A14 Huntingdon link road is now open and you can view the access route by clicking on the PDF file below. I also had occasion to use the route myself today and have extracted the dash cam footage so you can see what to expect beforehand if you wish. Journey time is approximately 4 minutes from the Abbots to the link turn off.

Temporary Closure of Village Store for Refurbishment

SORRY: The Village Store and Post Office will be temporarily closed for refurbishment and upgrading from Sunday 8th November - Thursday 3rd December.

TEMPORARY STORE: During the closure a temporary store will be open every day from 8.00am to 2pm for daily essentials.

POST OFFICE: A mobile post office will operate at the store on Thursday and Friday 8.00am - 12.30pm and Saturday 8.00am - 2.30pm.

Highways England Announce New Link Road into Huntingdon from Old A14

As part of the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme Highways England have announced that the Pathfinder Link Road, located in Mill Common, is due to open by 5.00 am on the morning of Saturday 31st October (this weekend).
